VIP Rentals

Stay on the road while your vehicle is with us. Our own fleet of Teslas for Tesla owners, subject to availability, plus conventional rentals through every major rental company for everything else we repair.

Our Own Fleet

Stay in a Tesla While Yours Is Being Repaired

Most collision shops hand you off to a rental counter and wish you luck. We keep our own fleet of Tesla Model 3s and Model Ys at the shop and offer them through our VIP Rental program, reserved for Tesla owners having a Tesla repaired with us, and subject to availability.

For Tesla owners it is simply the easier week. You keep driving a car you already know how to operate, with the same controls, the same charging routine, and the same feel on the road, instead of spending the first two days working out somebody else's infotainment system while your own car is in a body shop.

If you drive something else, you are not stuck. We arrange conventional rentals through every major rental company and coordinate the booking alongside your repair, so you still leave here with a way to get around.

Why Tesla Owners Choose It

Two Reasons It Beats a Standard Rental

A Car You Already Know

Same controls, same screen, same driving feel. No learning curve during a week that is already inconvenient enough.

No Gas Station Runs

You charge it the way you already charge your own, so what you pay for is electricity rather than filling somebody else's gas tank. No detours to a pump, and no handing back a rental with a fuel gauge someone is going to argue about.

How It Works

Reserving a VIP Rental

There is one step people are surprised by, and it is the insurance authorization. Getting it done early is what makes the rest simple.

Ask Us Early

Tell us you would like a VIP Rental when you schedule your repair. The fleet is limited, so the earlier you ask, the better your odds.

Confirm Your Coverage

Call your insurance company and confirm you have rental coverage on your claim, along with the daily rate they will authorize.

Get Authorization

Have your insurer add rental authorization to the claim. We cannot hold a vehicle until that is in place, since it determines who is paying.

Call Us Back

Let us know it is approved and we will create and finalize your reservation, then walk through pickup, return, and anything else you need.

When It's Finished

We Can Bring Your Vehicle to You

The part most people don't expect: you may never need to come back to the shop at all. When your repair is finished, we can deliver your vehicle to your home or your workplace and collect the VIP Rental at the same time, in one visit.

Just let us know when you reserve so we can plan the hand-back around your schedule.

Insurance

Rentals and Your Coverage

Rental coverage is common on Washington policies, and insurers regularly cover our VIP Rentals. Whether yours does, and at what daily rate, depends on your specific policy, so your insurance company is the only reliable source for that answer.

Two questions worth asking your adjuster: do I have rental coverage on this claim, and what daily rate and total limit does it allow? Most rental coverage is capped rather than open-ended, so knowing the limit up front avoids an awkward conversation later. If your repair runs long enough to approach that cap, we will flag it while there is still time to extend it rather than after the fact.

Prefer a Conventional Rental?

The Tesla loaners are reserved for our Tesla customers, and even then the fleet is not always free. Either way you are covered: we work with all major rental car companies and will arrange a conventional rental for you instead, handling the booking so you are not making the calls yourself.

Most of these go through Enterprise, who will come to you with the vehicle rather than expecting you to find your own way to a rental counter.

Common Questions

VIP Rentals FAQ

Our VIP Rental fleet is made up of Tesla Model 3s and Model Ys that we keep at the shop. They are offered subject to availability, so the number of vehicles free on any given day depends on how many are already out with other customers.

No, and we would rather tell you that up front than disappoint you at drop-off. The fleet is limited, so VIP Rentals are always subject to availability. Ask about one as early as you can, ideally when you first schedule the repair, and we will tell you honestly what is open. If nothing is free for your dates, we will arrange a conventional rental instead.

Rental coverage is common on Washington policies, and insurers regularly cover our VIP Rentals. Whether yours does depends on your specific policy, so the only reliable answer comes from your insurance company. Call them, ask whether you have rental coverage and what daily rate it allows, and we will work with whatever they authorize.

You do, the same as you would with your own Tesla. Charging is the one running cost that stays with you during the repair, whether you plug in at home overnight or stop at a Supercharger. What you are not doing is paying to refill somebody else's gas tank, and there is no fuel gauge for anyone to argue over when you hand the car back.

Two things. First, contact your insurance company to confirm your rental coverage and obtain rental authorization on your claim. Second, call us back once that is done so we can create and finalize the reservation and go over the details. We cannot hold a vehicle without authorization in place, because that is what determines who is paying for it.

No. Our Tesla loaners are reserved for Tesla customers, since the whole point of the program is keeping you in a vehicle you already know how to drive while yours is being repaired. If you drive something else, we will arrange a conventional rental for you through one of our rental partners and handle the booking the same way.

No, and it follows from the answer above. Our Burien facility handles every make except Tesla, so if your repair is happening there you are not a Tesla owner and the loaner fleet is not available to you. We will set you up with a conventional rental through Enterprise instead. They will come to you to hand the vehicle over, so you are not arranging your own way to a rental counter, and we coordinate the timing around your drop-off.

Most rental coverage is written with a daily limit and a total cap rather than an open end, so a longer repair can bump against it. We watch for that and will tell you before it becomes a problem rather than after, so you can talk to your adjuster about extending coverage while there is still time to do it.

Often not. When your repair is finished we can deliver your vehicle to your home or workplace and collect the VIP Rental in the same visit, so the swap happens wherever you are rather than at our shop. Mention it when you reserve and we will arrange the hand-back around your schedule.

Not a problem at all. We work with all major rental car companies and will arrange a conventional rental for you instead. Tell us which you prefer when you call and we will handle the booking either way.
