Collision and Tesla Repair for SeaTac
Murray's CARSTAR Collision is about seven minutes south of SeaTac at 22001 Pacific Hwy S in Des Moines, on the same road. We are a Tesla Approved Collision Center and an I-CAR Gold Class shop, we repair every make and model, and estimates are free.
The Closest Certified Tesla Shop to the Airport
SeaTac and Des Moines share a border and a highway, so for most of the city we are the nearest collision shop of any kind, certified or not. The certification is what makes the difference on a newer vehicle. Tesla approves collision facilities one building at a time, and ours is the approved one in this stretch of the corridor, which means genuine Tesla OEM parts, the published OEM repair procedure for your specific VIN, technicians trained on aluminum and high-strength steel structures, and in-house recalibration of the cameras and radar afterward. Everything else on the road gets repaired by the same team to the same documented standard. At 4.8 stars across more than 800 reviews we are also among the highest-volume shops in the south end, which is generally why parts and scheduling move faster here than people expect.
Seven Minutes Down International Boulevard
It is the same road under two names, so there is not much to explain.
South on Pacific Highway South
International Boulevard becomes Pacific Highway South as you head south out of SeaTac. From the airport terminal area it is about seven minutes. We are on the highway at S 220th Street, just south of Kent Des Moines Road.
Drop the Car, Take the Train
Angle Lake Station is the closest light rail stop to us, a couple of miles up the highway. Plenty of customers leave the vehicle with us, get a ride to Angle Lake, and carry on into Seattle or out to the airport on the train rather than arranging a rental. Worth knowing if your repair lands on a travel week.
From the East Side of the City
From McMicken Heights, Riverton Heights, or Bow Lake, S 188th or S 200th west to International Boulevard, then south. Under ten minutes from almost anywhere in the city.
Towing and Rentals
If your car cannot be driven, have it towed from SeaTac to our Des Moines shop. Our towing partner, Pete's Towing, can bring it in, or your insurer or roadside assistance can arrange the tow. Just give the tow driver a key. A tow truck can drop it off after hours. Tesla customers can ask about our VIP concierge fleet, subject to availability. Call (206) 824-8454 to arrange either.
Parking Structure Damage Is Rarely Just Cosmetic
A large share of SeaTac repairs start in a garage or a lot: a pillar scrape coming out of a stall, a door ding in long-term parking, a bumper met in a rental return lane, damage found on a car that sat for two weeks while its owner was away. Low-speed, tidy-looking, and frequently more involved than it appears, because bumper covers, mirrors, and headlight housings are where manufacturers put the radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors that run automatic braking, blind spot monitoring, parking sensors, and lane keeping. Replace the cover, skip the recalibration, and the vehicle looks perfect while its driver assistance reads the road from the wrong position. We recalibrate in house, document it, and hand over the paperwork with the car. Our guide to Tesla ADAS calibration covers what the procedure involves.
Your Insurer Cannot Choose Your Shop
Washington law gives you the right to choose your own repair shop, whoever you are insured with. An insurance company can suggest a shop from its list; it cannot require you to use one, and choosing us does not slow the claim or add cost. We work with all insurance companies, both inside our direct repair program network and outside it, coordinate directly with your adjuster, document the repair plan, and file the supplement ourselves if disassembly reveals damage nobody could see at the estimate. On a covered claim, most customers pay their deductible and nothing else. Our insurance page walks through the process, and our warranty page covers what protects the work afterward: the Murray's Collision Group limited lifetime warranty on workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle, plus CARSTAR's Limited Five-Year Nationwide Warranty on repairs completed at our Des Moines shop.
22001 Pacific Hwy S, Des Moines
Teslas are repaired at 22001 Pacific Hwy S Ste 101, Des Moines, WA 98198, on the same road you are already on. Every other make and model is repaired at our Burien facility, 243 SW 150th St, Burien, WA 98166, which is not set up for walk-ins. Your free estimate is written at Des Moines. Call (206) 824-8454.
SeaTac Repair FAQ
About seven minutes and roughly four miles. International Boulevard south out of the airport area becomes Pacific Highway South, and we are on it at S 220th Street. There is no freeway involved and no complicated turn. From McMicken Heights, Riverton Heights, or Bow Lake it is under ten minutes.
Photograph the damage where the vehicle sits, before you move it, and get whatever incident documentation the parking operator will give you. If another vehicle is identified, the at-fault driver's insurance is typically responsible; if not, this is usually a comprehensive or collision claim on your own policy depending on the circumstances. Then send us the photos for a free photo estimate or drive it down. We are seven minutes away and we will handle the claim coordination from there.
Yes, and a fair number of customers do. Angle Lake Station is a couple of miles north of us on the highway, and from there you can reach the airport or downtown Seattle without a rental. We can get you to the station. We also work with all rental car companies if you would rather have a vehicle, and Tesla customers can ask about our VIP concierge fleet, subject to availability.
Yes, every make and model, including gas vehicles, hybrids, and non-Tesla EVs. Those repairs are carried out at our Burien facility, operated by Murray's Collision Group, following the same OEM-approved procedures and backed by the same limited lifetime warranty. Your free estimate is written at our Des Moines shop, and since Burien is not a walk-in location we arrange that drop-off with you over the phone.
We work with all insurance companies, both inside our direct repair program network and outside it, and we bill most major carriers directly. Whether a shop sits on your carrier's preferred list changes the billing paperwork, not the repair or the warranty behind it, and Washington law gives you the right to choose your own shop regardless. Call (206) 824-8454 with your carrier and we will tell you how your claim will run.
