Collision Repair for Every Make and Model

Murray's CARSTAR Collision repairs every make and model in the Puget Sound, with OEM-approved procedures, a limited lifetime warranty, and direct communication on every repair. Tesla is one of our specialties, not the whole story.

One Standard, Every Vehicle

Same Quality, Any Make or Model

Being a Tesla Approved Collision Center is part of what put our Des Moines shop on the map, but it's far from the only kind of vehicle we know how to fix right. We handle collision repair for every make and model, from daily commuter cars to family SUVs to non-Tesla EVs, using the manufacturer's OEM-approved repair procedures, computerized frame and measuring equipment, and the same limited lifetime warranty we back every repair with. You deal with one team from start to finish, with no runaround and no phone tag, and the standard of work and documentation stays exactly the same.

Step by Step

The Repair Process, Any Make or Model

Tesla or not, every vehicle that comes through Murray's CARSTAR Collision follows the same disciplined process from drop-off to delivery.

Free Estimate & Inspection

We start with a visual inspection and photograph the damage, then note anything that will need a closer look once the vehicle is opened up.

Insurance Approval & Parts Ordering

We submit your estimate to your insurance company, order manufacturer-specified parts once approved, and file a supplement if disassembly uncovers additional damage. If that happens, here is why a repair estimate goes up after work starts.

Repair, Refinish & Reassembly

Structural work, panel repair, and paint refinishing all follow OEM procedures for your specific make and model, with computer color-matching so repairs disappear into the original finish.

Quality Control & Delivery

A final multi-point inspection confirms panel fit and system function before your vehicle is washed, detailed, and handed back with your limited lifetime warranty paperwork.

Collision Repair FAQ

Every repair is different, so the only accurate number comes from a free estimate. We do not publish price ranges, because the same damage costs different amounts on different vehicles. What moves the number is whether a panel can be repaired or has to be replaced, how much refinishing and paint matching is involved, whether the structure was affected, and whether ADAS sensors need recalibration afterward. Paintless dent repair, where the factory paint is still intact, is typically the least expensive route. Teslas and other EVs, along with luxury and European imports, run higher than a comparable gas vehicle because of aluminum structures, manufacturer-only parts, and required calibration. Estimates can change after disassembly, when hidden damage is found behind the panels. If you're filing an insurance claim, your deductible is usually the main thing you pay, and we will tell you up front if anything your insurer won't cover changes that.

Yes. Gas-powered vehicles, hybrids, and non-Tesla EVs are repaired at our Burien facility, operated by Murray's Collision Group, using the same OEM-approved procedures and the same limited lifetime warranty. Your free estimate is written at our Des Moines shop, so walk in during business hours or call ahead and schedule, whichever is easier. Burien isn't set up for walk-ins, so we'll arrange that drop-off with you over the phone.

Just reach out to Murray's and we'll get you scheduled for a free estimate, then coordinate everything from there so you're not left chasing the process yourself.

Yes. The limited lifetime warranty on workmanship is the same either way, covering the repair itself: paint adhesion, panel fit, and the quality of the work we performed. It isn't shorter or lesser because you drive a Honda instead of a Tesla, and it isn't voided by where the repair was carried out. One difference worth knowing: because our Des Moines shop is a CARSTAR location, repairs completed there also carry CARSTAR's Limited Five-Year Nationwide Warranty, honored at CARSTAR locations across the USA and Canada. See our warranty page for the full terms and what a claim involves.

Yes, all of them. We're not limited to a preferred-shop network, so whoever you're insured with, we handle it: we submit the estimate to your adjuster, negotiate any supplement if disassembly turns up hidden damage, and bill them directly so you're not paying up front and waiting for reimbursement. In most covered claims your deductible is the main thing you pay, and we will tell you up front if anything falls outside what your insurer approves.

Usually yes. Modern bumpers and panels are designed to absorb impact, which means the visible damage is often smaller than what happened underneath. A scuff can sit on top of a cracked bracket, a bent reinforcement bar, or a sensor knocked out of alignment. The estimate is free, so the only thing it costs you is the time to have it looked at properly.

That's the entire standard we work to. Structural points are measured on computerized equipment against factory specifications and verified again after the repair, panels are joined using the manufacturer's specified methods rather than generic shortcuts, and any cameras, radar, or sensors affected by the repair are recalibrated before the vehicle leaves. A repair that looks right but measures wrong isn't finished.

Very little. Take your personal belongings out, especially anything from the trunk or the area being repaired, and bring your insurance claim number if you have one. You don't need to wash it first, we do that ourselves so the damage can be documented accurately. If your vehicle isn't driveable, call us and we'll help arrange a tow.
